a trade cap treats the symptom. youll hit your two trades early on a boring day then sit there twitching, and within a month youll quietly raise it to three because a setup was right there. caps slip when the underlying boredom and fomo arent addressed. the number isnt the cure, the impulse is the problem.

moving from retail to a prime-of-prime setup, actually worth it for an individualninety percent of individuals asking about prime-of-prime want the business card, not the liquidity. if your retail ecn is genuinely the bottleneck on your returns youd know exactly why, not be asking a forum whether its worth it.

triangles and flags, which continuation patterns do you actually trusttriangles break both ways because you can draw a triangle on literally any consolidation if you pick your trendlines generously enough. half the triangles people trade are just range-bound chop with two lines imposed on them to feel like a setup. the pattern is often invented by the trader, not present in the market.

trend following vs mean reversion, does it come down to personalitythe personality-fit talk becomes an excuse to never master the discipline either style actually requires. cant sit through trend follow drawdowns, blame personality. wont cut mean reversion losers, blame personality. both styles need the exact discipline you lack and personality is the comfortable story for avoiding building it.

head and shoulders, how often does it actually play out for you in practicethe neckline break that reverses straight back is the market filling stops below an obvious neckline everyone drew identically. youre trading the most telegraphed level on the chart, of course it gets faded. the pattern is so famous its become a liquidity map for the people on the other side.

saxo bank for retail trader, worth the premium pricinghad saxo classic account for 4 years before moving to a hybrid setup. their execution is institutional grade, customer service is excellent, platform is information-dense and rewards experienced users. but for pure forex trading the premium isnt justified vs say ic markets unless you also trade equities and bonds in the same account.
