  • 📌 Challenges & Evaluations — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for discussing prop firm challenges and evaluations: rules, profit targets, drawdown limits, time limits, scaling plans, and strategies for passing. If you've passed, failed, or found something worth knowing, share it here.

    Basic conduct

    • Be straight about your experience. Passed a challenge? Great, share what worked. Failed? Even better, share what went wrong. Both are useful.
    • Don't talk down to people who are on their first challenge. The rules vary wildly between firms and it takes time to figure out what actually matters.
    • If you disagree with someone's approach to a challenge, explain your reasoning.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not promote prop firms, challenge services, or passing tools without admin approval. This includes "I used this EA to pass, DM me for the settings" if it leads to a sales funnel.
    • Mentioning a firm or tool in context is fine. Building threads around them to drive referrals is not.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members to sell challenge passing services will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • When discussing a specific challenge, name the firm and the account size. Rules differ between tiers and firms, and vague advice based on unclear context causes confusion.
    • Be precise about the rules you're working with: daily drawdown, max drawdown, profit target, minimum trading days. These details are what make advice actually applicable.
    • If you're sharing a passing strategy, include live context, not just a backtest. Challenge conditions and live execution are not the same thing.
    • If your approach stopped working after a firm updated its rules, flag it. Outdated strategies presented as current advice do real damage here.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Posts that are clearly just advertising a challenge passing service or funded account reseller.
    • Strategies that involve exploiting platform glitches or loopholes. That's not trading, and most firms will void your account for it anyway.
    • Unverified claims about a firm's evaluation process presented as fact.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.
Not sure if something fits here, message a mod before posting.

  • 📌 Payout Issues — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for discussing payout problems with prop firms: delayed payments, rejected withdrawals, rule disputes, account terminations, and anything else that went wrong on the firm's end. If you've been through it, sharing the details helps everyone make better decisions.

    Basic conduct

    • Stick to facts. Post dates, the firm's response, screenshots if you have them, and what steps you've already taken. A detailed account is useful. "They stole my money" with nothing behind it isn't.
    • Don't dismiss someone's complaint because you've had a good experience with the same firm. Both can be true at the same time.
    • No pile-ons. If a firm is already getting criticism in a thread, adding noise without substance doesn't help anyone.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not use payout complaint threads to push alternative prop firms or services without admin approval. Poaching frustrated traders is still promotion.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members who've posted complaints to sell them anything will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • When reporting a payout issue, include the firm name, the amount, how long it's been outstanding, what their support has said, and what your account agreement says. Details matter.
    • If the issue gets resolved, update your thread. Others searching for the same firm need to know the full picture, not just the complaint.
    • If you've escalated to a regulator or filed a dispute with your payment provider, mention it. It helps others know what options exist.
    • Don't post secondhand complaints. If it didn't happen to you directly, it doesn't belong here.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Unverified claims presented as confirmed fraud without supporting evidence.
    • Posts from people who are clearly affiliated with a competing firm.
    • Complaints about issues that are clearly covered in the firm's terms and conditions.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.
Not sure if something fits here, message a mod before posting.

  • 📌 New Traders — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for beginner traders: asking questions, learning the basics, working through common mistakes, and understanding how trading actually works step by step. No question is too basic here, that's the whole point of the section.

    Basic conduct

    • If you know the answer to someone's question, help them. If you don't, don't guess and present it as fact.
    • No condescension. Everyone in the Experienced Traders section was once asking the same questions people ask here.
    • Telling someone to "just Google it" isn't a contribution. If you don't want to help, scroll past.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not promote paid courses, mentorships, signal services, or any commercial product without admin approval. Beginners are the most targeted group in this industry and we take that seriously.
    • If you genuinely want to share a free educational resource, contact admin first.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing new members to sell them anything will get you permanently banned, no warnings.

    Posting standards

    • Ask your question clearly. The more context you give, the better the answer you'll get. What are you trying to understand? What have you already read or tried?
    • If you get a good answer, acknowledge it. It helps others find the right information when they search later.
    • If you're sharing advice, be honest about your own experience level. Well-intentioned but wrong advice from someone who's also a beginner can do real damage.
    • There's no such thing as a stupid question here, but there is such a thing as not reading the thread before posting the same question that was answered two posts above.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Anyone using this section to target or exploit new traders. This gets you permanently banned.
    • Misinformation presented confidently as fact.
    • Posts that are clearly just fishing for a mentor-client relationship or paid coaching.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • 📌 Experienced Traders — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for advanced trading discussions: execution, risk management, psychology, systems thinking, market structure, and professional workflows. The bar for discussion here is higher than in the rest of the forum, and that's intentional.

    Basic conduct

    • Assume the person you're talking to knows what they're doing until proven otherwise. This section attracts people with real experience and they deserve to be treated accordingly.
    • Disagreement is fine. This is where some of the best arguments on the forum happen. Keep it about the ideas.
    • If you're pointing out a flaw in someone's reasoning, be specific. Vague dismissiveness doesn't belong here.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not promote paid services, courses, funds, or any commercial product without admin approval. Experienced traders are exactly the audience bad actors want access to, so this gets enforced strictly.
    • Mentioning tools or platforms in context is fine. Building threads around them to drive traffic is not.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members with commercial offers will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • Be precise. This section isn't the place for vague market takes or surface-level analysis. If you're making a point, make it properly.
    • When discussing systems or workflows, include enough detail to make it useful. High-level generalisations don't move the conversation forward.
    • Psychology and mindset discussions are welcome, but ground them in practical experience. Abstract theory without real application doesn't add much here.
    • If you're sharing results or data to support a point, be transparent about the methodology.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Content that belongs in beginner or general sections being posted here to get more visibility.
    • Posts that use the credibility of this section as cover for promoting a product or service.
    • Unverified performance claims used to establish authority.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • 📌 Trading Journals — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for sharing your trading journal, tracking progress, and documenting your development as a trader. It's one of the more personal sections on the forum, so keep that in mind when you're reading someone else's entries.

    Basic conduct

    • Respect the fact that people are sharing real results, real mistakes, and real money. Don't pile on someone for a bad trade or a rough week.
    • Constructive feedback is welcome if someone asks for it. Unsolicited criticism of someone's journal isn't.
    • No comparisons designed to make someone feel bad about their performance. Everyone's at a different stage.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not use your journal thread to promote paid services, signal products, or anything commercial without admin approval. A journal is a log, not a marketing channel.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members off the back of their journal posts to sell them something will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • Be honest. A journal full of only winning trades isn't a journal, it's a highlight reel. The losses and the thought process behind them are the whole point.
    • Include your reasoning, not just the outcome. Why did you take the trade? What were you seeing? What would you do differently?
    • You don't have to post every day, but if you start a journal thread, try to keep it updated. Abandoned journals with one entry aren't useful to anyone, including you.
    • There's no required format, but include enough detail that someone reading it can actually follow your thinking.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Journal threads that are clearly just a setup for promoting a paid product or service.
    • Posting other people's journal entries or results without their permission.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • ⚙️ Verified Forex Robots & Expert Advisors
    DaveD Dave

There's no shortage of EAs being sold online with polished landing pages and backtests that look like a straight line up. Most of them don't survive first contact with a live account.

We've tested a lot of them ourselves, with real money. The full rating is here: forexroasted.com/robots

We spent our own cash on this. Not demo accounts, not vendor-provided setups. Go check it out before you buy anything.

    What we're currently running
Out of everything we've been through, two EAs have actually held up on live accounts:
    EA Automatic and BullCharge
Full performance data and our take on both are in the rating above.

  • 📌 Forex Robots — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for discussing automated trading systems: EAs, trading robots, algorithmic setups, and anything that executes trades without you sitting at the screen. Share what you're running, ask what you can't figure out, and be straight about results.

    Basic conduct

    • Be honest about performance. A robot that's been running live for three months with a modest return is worth more to this community than a backtest that turned $1,000 into $1,000,000.
    • If someone's EA logic has a flaw, explain it properly. "That'll blow the account" needs more than just the assertion.
    • No dismissing people who are new to automation. The learning curve is real and everyone here hit the same walls.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not advertise your EA, robot, or automated system without admin approval. This includes "soft" promotion: recommending your own product across multiple threads, offering free trials that lead to a sales funnel, or posting performance screenshots with a link attached.
    • If you've built something and want to share it with the community, contact admin first. There's a right way to do it.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members to sell your robot will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • When sharing results, include the context: live or demo, broker, account size, timeframe the robot has been running, drawdown, not just the return. Anyone can cherry-pick a good month.
    • When asking for help with an EA, specify the platform, the issue, and what you've already tried. "My robot doesn't work" tells us nothing.
    • If your robot blows up, post what happened. Failure reports are some of the most useful content on any trading forum.
    • Backtests are fine for discussion but label them clearly. Optimised backtests presented as live performance will get your post removed.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Cracked, decompiled, or pirated EAs. Zero tolerance, instant ban.
    • Unverified performance claims with no supporting data.
    • Posts that exist purely to funnel people toward a paid product.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • 📌 Strategies — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for sharing and discussing trading strategies, setups, market ideas, risk rules, trade management, and practical improvements to how you trade. If you've got something that works, something that stopped working, or something you're still figuring out, this is the place.

    Basic conduct

    • Be honest about your results. Sharing a strategy that works 40% of the time but has solid risk management is just as useful as a high win rate setup. Maybe more so.
    • If you think someone's approach is flawed, explain why. Constructive pushback moves the conversation forward, dismissiveness doesn't.
    • No talking down to people testing out basic strategies. Everyone started somewhere.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not use this section to promote paid strategies, courses, signal services, or mentorship programs without admin approval. Wrapping a sales pitch in a strategy post doesn't make it a strategy post.
    • If you want to share something commercial with the community, contact admin first.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members to sell your strategy or course will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • When sharing a strategy, include the logic behind it, not just the entry and exit rules. Why does this work? What market conditions does it rely on? What breaks it?
    • Include risk management. A setup without position sizing and stop logic isn't a strategy, it's a trade idea.
    • Post follow-ups on live results, not just backtests. And if you do post backtests, be upfront about the methodology, commission, slippage, sample size.
    • If a strategy stops working, say so. Knowing when something broke and why is genuinely useful to the community.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Strategies that are clearly just lead generation for a paid product.
    • Unverified performance claims with no supporting data.
    • Off-topic content that belongs in patterns, sentiment, or tools sections.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • 📌 Forex Patterns — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for discussing chart patterns, price action setups, candlestick formations, and structure-based analysis. If you're seeing a pattern develop or want to break down a setup that already played out, post it here.

    Basic conduct

    • If you disagree with someone's pattern identification, explain why. "That's not a head and shoulders" needs more than just the assertion.
    • No mocking basic questions. Pattern recognition takes time to develop and everyone here got it wrong plenty of times before getting it right.
    • Critique the analysis, not the person.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not promote paid courses, pattern recognition tools, or signal services without admin approval. "Here's a free chart, DM me for more" still counts as promotion.
    • If you've built something related to pattern analysis and want to share it, contact admin first.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members to sell anything will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • Always attach a chart. Describing a pattern in text without a visual is asking people to take your word for it.
    • Mark up the chart properly. Label what you're seeing and where you'd expect price to go. An unmarked screenshot isn't analysis.
    • When a setup plays out or fails, post the follow-up. Selective posting of only the wins is the oldest trick in the book and nobody here is fooled by it.
    • Specify the pair, timeframe, and when you spotted the pattern. Context matters.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Retroactive pattern spotting presented as real-time analysis. Hindsight setups are fine for learning, just label them as such.
    • Posts that are just thinly veiled promotion for a pattern-based signal service.
    • Off-topic content that belongs in sentiment, tools, or broker sections.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.

  • 📌 Market Sentiment — Rules (read before posting)
    DaveD Dave

This section is for discussing market sentiment, positioning, risk-on/risk-off conditions, news impact, macro context, and trader expectations. If you've got a read on where the market is headed and the reasoning to back it up, this is the place to share it.

    Basic conduct

    • Back up your calls with something. "Everyone's long EUR/USD so it's going down" is a starting point, not an argument. Show the data or the logic behind it.
    • Disagree with someone's read? Good, that's what makes a market. Keep it civil and stick to the analysis.
    • Don't dismiss contrarian views outright. Sentiment analysis exists precisely because the crowd is often wrong at the extremes.

    Promotion & advertising

    • Do not promote sentiment tools, paid data services, or signal products without admin approval.
    • Mentioning a tool you use for context is fine. Building a thread around it to drive sign-ups is not.
    • Referral links get removed without warning.
    • DMing members to push sentiment services will get you banned.

    Posting standards

    • When posting a sentiment-based view, include the source: COT report, broker positioning data, macro release, whatever you're working from. "Sentiment is bearish" with no source isn't useful.
    • Specify the timeframe and context. Short-term retail sentiment and long-term institutional positioning are very different things and mixing them up causes confusion.
    • If your call didn't play out, post the follow-up. The misses are often more instructive than the wins.

Other things that'll get your post removed

    • Vague predictions dressed up as sentiment analysis with nothing behind them.
    • Posts that are clearly just promotion for a paid signal service using sentiment as a hook.
    • Off-topic content that belongs in the brokers or tools sections.

Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated.
