This section is for beginner traders: asking questions, learning the basics, working through common mistakes, and understanding how trading actually works step by step. No question is too basic here, that's the whole point of the section. Basic conduct If you know the answer to someone's question, help them. If you don't, don't guess and present it as fact. No condescension. Everyone in the Experienced Traders section was once asking the same questions people ask here. Telling someone to "just Google it" isn't a contribution. If you don't want to help, scroll past. Promotion & advertising Do not promote paid courses, mentorships, signal services, or any commercial product without admin approval. Beginners are the most targeted group in this industry and we take that seriously. If you genuinely want to share a free educational resource, contact admin first. Referral links get removed without warning. DMing new members to sell them anything will get you permanently banned, no warnings. Posting standards Ask your question clearly. The more context you give, the better the answer you'll get. What are you trying to understand? What have you already read or tried? If you get a good answer, acknowledge it. It helps others find the right information when they search later. If you're sharing advice, be honest about your own experience level. Well-intentioned but wrong advice from someone who's also a beginner can do real damage. There's no such thing as a stupid question here, but there is such a thing as not reading the thread before posting the same question that was answered two posts above. Other things that'll get your post removed Anyone using this section to target or exploit new traders. This gets you permanently banned. Misinformation presented confidently as fact. Posts that are clearly just fishing for a mentor-client relationship or paid coaching. Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated. This section covers MT4 and MT5 specifically: platform setup, EA installation, scripting, troubleshooting, and anything else tied to the MetaTrader ecosystem. If your question is more about a specific broker's conditions or a standalone indicator, there are better sections for that. Basic conduct If you see someone make a mistake in their code or setup, point it out properly. A correction with context is useful, a one-line "that's wrong" is not. No condescension toward newer traders figuring out the platform. MT4 has a learning curve and everyone here hit the same walls at some point. Critique the approach, not the person.
