thinking of taking my private journal public for accountability, but im worried it'll quietly change my trading, that ill start taking safer trades to look good, or hesitate to log the embarrassing ones. for those who went public, did it genuinely help your discipline, or did the audience subtly distort your decisions?

if i strip down to almost nothing how do i actually find entries, just support and resistance levels and the moving average?

is algo trading something a small retail trader can actually do? feels like its for hedge funds

ive got a system showing a positive expectancy over about forty backtested trades and im itching to go live. but forty feels thin and im worried im fooling myself with a small sample. whats a sample size you personally consider enough to trust a system with real money, and does it depend on the strategy type?

is gold harder than forex really? feels like one big trending market most days

running big optimization passes on my EA and my desktop takes hours per run. the mql5 cloud network offers to throw hundreds of agents at it for a fee. is it actually worth it, or do i just leave my machine grinding overnight and save the money?

looking at two account types at the same broker. one has 1.2 pip spread and no commission. the other has 0.1 pip spread and $7 commission per lot round trip. i've been trying to calculate which is cheaper but can't figure out how to compare them properly.

i trade maybe 5-10 trades a week, each around 0.1-0.3 lots. which account type actually makes sense at my size?

does switching to an ecn broker fully solve this or do ecn brokers also have slippage on news?
