overtrading is my exact leak too and ive never tried a hard cap, just kept telling myself to be more disciplined which obviously never worked
stealing your two-trade rule and following your log. the idea of spending scarce trades instead of firing freely actually reframed it for me.

journal: trying to fix my one recurring mistake, overtrading -
doji ea - someone posted a myfxbook, looks too smoothopen the 'open trades' tab and look at the history of floating P/L if its shared. also the drawdown chart (not the balance chart). if they only shared the balance view and hid open trades + drawdown, thats deliberate, ask for the full link

spread widening at london close - is your broker honest?love this thread
nobody talks about session transitions enough. the spreads at london close basically chose my broker for me - the one that least screwed me over -
dual monitor trading setup, worth the upgrade or overkillwent from 1 to 3 monitors over 2 years
the difference between 1 and 2 was huge. the difference between 2 and 3 was marginal. dual is the sweet spot for most retail. dont over-build the desk -
algo plus manual hybrid trading, has anyone made this actually worklove my hybrid setup
algos run while i sleep and during work, i jump in for high conviction discretionary setups. my P&L improved meaningfully when i stopped feeling guilty about either side and treated them as one operation -
position sizing, fixed lot vs percentage of equitygoing from 'i feel like trading 0.5 lots today' to systematic percentage sizing was my biggest single improvement
not because the math was better (it was) but because i stopped deciding sizing emotionally. discipline removes the bad decision -
asian session trading, worth it or just for night owlsi love asian session for the peace of mind
fewer pings, less drama on news, just price doing its thing. my P&L is smaller but my stress is way lower -
thinkmarkets after the regulation changes 2026the new asic rules forced me to learn position sizing properly tbh
my P&L is more boring now but i havent had a margin call in 8 months which is a personal record -
market structure analysis, comparing schools of thoughtthe freedom of taking 'best of all schools' approach is liberating
i used to feel guilty for not being 'pure SMC' or 'pure wyckoff'. now i just use what works and move on. flexibility > dogma -
how do i know if a pine script indicator repaints before i trust itjust tested my 'best' indicator with replay and watched the arrows literally rearrange themselves
feel stupid for trading it for a month. thanks for this thread. -
trading a prop account feels completely different psychologically - is this normali'm 3 months into my first funded account and can confirm it does get better. still not completely gone but the paralysis from the first few weeks is now more like heightened attention which i've learned to use rather than fight. you'll find your rhythm.

year one trading retrospective - what I actually learned vs what I thought I would learntrade smaller than you think you need to for twice as long as feels comfortable. the account size doesn't matter as much as the period of consistent process-over-outcome focus. i spent 6 months trying to 'make up' for early losses with bigger size. the second 6 months with small consistent sizing taught me more and cost me less.

hankotrade - anyone actually withdrawn from them recently?deposit bonus is the giveaway
100% bonus = they tag your account, any withdrawal has 'trading volume requirement' that nobody can hit. classic trap. dont accept the bonus even if you deposit. -
stopped journaling for 3 months and feel too embarrassed to restart - how did you get backi had a solid journaling habit going for about 5 months then life got in the way and i just stopped. it's been about 3 months since my last entry. now i feel this weird guilt about the gap and keep putting off restarting because the entries feel inconsistent.
logically i know this is stupid but the emotional block is real. did anyone else go through this and how did you actually get back into the habit?

adding to winning trades, do you actually do this or just talk about itadding to winners changed my P&L when i finally got disciplined about it
most of my best months come from 1-2 trades where i actually let myself add. the rest are average. its a skill worth building -
xm execution feels worse than 6 months ago, am i alone?i held on too long out of brand loyalty
my P&L hated me for it. eventually you have to recognize when your broker has slipped (literally and figuratively).
