i fully gave up on the laptop and beach fantasy
my actual trading life is a small home office and 2 monitors. the marketing version of trading is so divorced from reality

trading from your phone, ever actually worked for anyone serious -
range trading vs trend following, which is your bread and butterim a trend follower at heart
the rush of catching a multi-week move and letting it ride is what trading is for me. range trading feels like work without reward. but i acknowledge thats personality not P&L talking -
ea automatic, anyone running it live not demoskipping it, thanks for the live info

are prop firm challenges just a fee farmstopped buying challenges, not for me

running multiple prop accounts simultaneously, how do you manage iti tried 3 props for 6 months and the mental overhead crushed me
different rules different platforms different login workflows. dropped to 1 and my actual performance went UP because i could focus. multiple prop only works if you're systematic not discretionary -
range trading vs trend following, can you switch effectivelyswitching styles broke me psychologically
i could never trust either system fully because i was always second-guessing which one to use. specializing was a relief. one tool, used well, beats two tools used poorly -
trend following on weekly timeframe - the boring strategy thats winningboring is the secret
i ruined years of capital chasing exciting strategies. when i finally tried 'boring' my equity curve smoothed out and my mental health improved. should have done it 5 years earlier -
public accountability log, rebuilding after blowing an accountthis hit home, i blew an account the same way last year and the shame nearly made me quit
the fact youre logging it publicly instead of hiding is genuinely brave. following your rebuild, and rooting hard for you to prove the comeback is about discipline not luck. -
how do you explain trading to family who think its gamblingtook my mom 5 years to stop worrying about my trading
what eventually worked: consistent monthly income going to my bank account for 18 months straight. she stopped seeing it as risky when she saw it functioning like any other job -
support and resistance basics, still the foundation in 2026going back to clean SR after years of complicated systems was the best decision in my trading journey
the chart becomes calm again. you trade what you see, not what 17 indicators tell you. boring works -
withdrawal taking 8 days and counting - normal processing or early warning signrequested withdrawal 8 days ago, still pending. support says "processing" each time i ask. amount is $2400 which isn't huge but it's mine. never had an issue with deposits, this is my first withdrawal attempt with this broker.
trying to figure out if this is just slow admin or if i should be actually worried. they're regulated (cysec) and have been around since 2017. what's a normal withdrawal timeline and at what point should i escalate?

first month live trading mistakes - compile them here so others can avoidopened at twice the size i used on demo. thought i was ready. was not. the psychological difference between losing $0.50 on demo and losing $50 real is incomprehensible until you experience it. my whole execution changed. i froze on entries i would have taken instantly on demo. first month rule: trade at half the demo size minimum.

year one trading retrospective - what I actually learned vs what I thought I would learnthought i'd learn which indicators to use. what i actually learned: i was using indicators wrong because i was using them as certainty machines instead of probability tools. thought i'd get better at prediction. what i actually learned: i needed to get better at responding to what was actually happening, not predicting it. completely opposite direction.

what pairs are you watching this week and whats the actual reasoninglove that people actually returned with results
most market-watch threads die after monday. this format where you report back hit or miss is genuinely useful, in for next week. -
do you actually know which broker your prop firm routes to behind the scenesthe simulated challenge feed thing just clicked for me
i kept blaming myself for slippage that real brokers never gave me. logging from now on. -
smartprop trader 2026, anyone passed their evalsmartprop eval was actually fun
the constraint of needing consistency made it feel like real trading not a gambling sprint. passed second attempt after failing first because i was too aggressive. lesson learned
