thats slippage, and during news its mostly normal. price moves between you clicking and the order reaching the server, in a fast market that gap can be a few pips. its not automatically the broker robbing you. BUT if it always slips against you and never in your favour, thats a flag

do prop firms actually pay out or is that fake toothe established ones pay, ive had 4 payouts no drama. the sketchy newer ones are where the 'rule 7.3' games happen, they suddenly find a 'consistency rule' or 'news trading' violation right when you ask for a big payout. pick firms with years of payout proof, not the ones with a flashy 90% discount this week

mt5 strategy tester shows 80% win rate but live is barely breakevenbacktested my EA over 3 years in the mt5 tester, 80% win rate, smooth equity curve, looked beautiful. ran it live for two months and its barely breakeven, maybe slightly down after costs.
i know some slippage is expected but this gap is huge. what are the usual culprits that make the tester lie this badly? want to figure out if the edge is fake or if im just modelling it wrong.
