the 50 dollar account problem is real: at sensible risk per trade your positions are so tiny the platform barely lets you trade, so people overleverage just to feel something, which teaches the wrong habit. a couple hundred lets you risk a small percent and still place a meaningful micro lot. its the smallest account that teaches correctly.

wise is often the best middle option people don't consider enough. faster than bank wire (1-2 days), simpler than crypto, arrives in fiat. fees are transparent and usually competitive especially for international transfers. if your prop firm offers wise, that's often the sweet spot.

correct calculation above. the general rule: if you're trading eurusd or other majors, commission/raw accounts are almost always cheaper once you do the math. spread-only accounts are designed to look simpler, and they are, but you pay for that simplicity in higher total cost.

spent $1800 on a course at 6 months in. the course itself was average but the community around it was genuinely valuable - experienced traders who answered questions, reviewed charts, and called out mistakes in real time. that community component was worth the cost. the course content i could have gotten from youtube. when evaluating courses look at what the community and support access is like, not just the curriculum.

ran them in parallel for 4 months on the same eurusd setup last year. fp had marginally tighter raw spread off-news but ic was noticeably better during the open. like 0.2-0.4 pip cleaner fills on stops at london open. wasnt your imagination.

+1. rebrand was image refresh, not operational overhaul. they wanted to distance from some older negative associations and modernize the look. the broker entity behind it is the same. quality is mid-tier solid, not exceptional.

been with xm for years on their zero spread account. lately - last 6-8 weeks specifically - im getting noticeably more requotes during high volume, partial fills on bigger orders, and weird 3-4 pip slippage on stop losses during news.

reached out to support, got the usual 'market conditions' boilerplate. checked their website status page, no posted issues.

anyone else seeing degradation or is it just my setup? thinking about moving but xm has been my home for so long im hesitant.

bdswiss has been on a downward trajectory in my experience through 2025. spreads creeping wider, more slippage on stops, slower customer service responses than 2024.

considering moving but want to understand if its broker-specific decline or just my perception. anyone else trading with bdswiss currently seeing the same?
