requested withdrawal 8 days ago, still pending. support says "processing" each time i ask. amount is $2400 which isn't huge but it's mine. never had an issue with deposits, this is my first withdrawal attempt with this broker.

trying to figure out if this is just slow admin or if i should be actually worried. they're regulated (cysec) and have been around since 2017. what's a normal withdrawal timeline and at what point should i escalate?

cysec regulated, 2017+ operating history, first withdrawal - this profile is not immediately alarming. normal processing for wire is 3-7 business days. 8 calendar days could still be within that window depending on weekends and their processing schedule. that said, contact them in writing (email, not chat) and explicitly ask for a reference number and expected date. written requests get processed faster and create a paper trail.

had a similar wait with a cysec broker first time. turned out they wanted additional verification for the first withdrawal - it's a regulatory requirement some brokers implement lazily, meaning they only ask for it when you try to withdraw instead of upfront during kyc. check your email including spam for any document requests.

the document request thing is very common. brokers are required to verify the withdrawal method matches the deposit method (aml rules). first withdrawal almost always triggers this. if you deposited by card they'll want to withdraw to the same card up to the deposit amount and only the rest to another method.

at what point would you actually file a complaint with cysec if a broker stonewalls you?

if they go past 10 business days with no clear explanation, send a formal written complaint referencing their regulatory obligations. cysec has a complaint portal and brokers respond to it very quickly - regulator complaints get escalated internally much faster than customer service tickets. the credible threat of a regulatory complaint often unlocks a stuck withdrawal same day.

i went through something similar last year, absolutely stress-inducing even though it resolved fine in the end. turned out they'd flagged my account for a routine aml review. broker should have communicated that immediately instead of just saying 'processing'. update us when it resolves.

send a written email today. specify the date, amount, reference. withdrawal typically moves within 48h of formal written request.
