octafx markets heavily to active traders with their copy trading and 'no commission' positioning. ive looked at their spreads on the supercharger account and they look tight on majors.

for those actually trading intraday with octafx (not the demo, not 1 trade a month): how is the experience day-to-day? especially execution during news and the withdrawal experience for active accounts.

octafx for 10 months of active intraday trading 2024-2025. execution during normal hours was fine, comparable to mid-tier brokers. during NFP and CPI releases their spreads widened more aggressively than ic markets or pepperstone (5-8 pip widening typical). withdrawals were slow - 3-5 business days for wire transfers consistently.

+1. their normal-hours execution is competitive but the news widening hurts active traders specifically. if you trade news or session opens (when liquidity transitions matter), octafx is a worse choice than pure ECN brokers. for non-news intraday trading on calm market days, theyre fine.

'no commission' means the broker doesnt charge a separate commission per trade. their revenue comes entirely from spread markup. the spread you see is wider than raw spread brokers (who charge tight spread + commission). 'no commission' is more expensive per trade in most cases, just packaged differently. always compare total cost not commission alone.

octafx is fine. theyre offshore-registered marketing operation that does basic broker things. nothing special, nothing scary, nothing to write home about. just average.

octafx was my first broker, learned a lot but moved on after 18 months once i understood costs better 🔥 nothing terrible about them but better options exist once you know what to look for
