e8 funding, deep dive after 8 months of funded trading

passed e8 eval in may 2025, been on their funded program for 8 months. here is my honest review:
strengths:
- dashboard and tools are best in class among props ive used
- payouts hit reliably (8 of 8, average 5 business days)
- their scaling plan actually works as advertised (started $100k, now $200k)
- rules are crystal clear, no gotcha clauses
weaknesses:
- their evaluation difficulty is on the harder end
- support response times slower than alpha
- max position limits feel arbitrary on certain instruments

how does the 'sclaing plan' work? you mention going from 100k to 200k

e8's scaling: after 3 consecutive profitable months meeting certain criteria (positive return, low drawdown), your funded account size doubles. theoretically can scale up to $1M. i scaled once. the criteria are specific but achievable if your stratgey works consistently.

echo OP. e8 is one of the better-engineered prop firm experiences. their dashboard analytics actually help you trade better (clear win rate breakdowns, instrument-level performance, risk metrics). most prop dashboards are just status displays, e8's is a tool.

+1 on the dashboard quality. the data they expose to you is significantly more useful than ftmo's. if youre going to spend hours each week reviewing trades, having good analytics provided saves real time.

evaluated e8 in summer 2025 but didnt pass. the higher difficulty op mentioned is real - their 8% target with 5% DD over 30 days is tighter than ftmo or alpha. for traders who get there, the funded experience is excellent. for those who dont quite pass, the experience can be frustrating.

every prop review on here ends 'i scaled, i love them, im rich now'. confirmation bias from people still in their honeymoon period. ask again in a year.
small thing but having tools that help you THINK about your trading rather than just track is a real differentiator
