smartprop trader has been advertising heavily in 2026 with a 'consistency-focused' evaluation model. their pitch: pass eval by demonstrating risk management over 30 days rather than just hitting profit target.

on paper this favors serious traders over gamblers. but ive read mixed reviews about their funded account rules.

anyone passed their eval and traded funded with them?

passed eval in november 2025, funded for 2 months now. consistency focus is genuine - their evaluation actually does penalize big single-trade wins by requiring distribution across multiple sessions. forced me to actually trade my system not gamble. funded rules are reasonable, payouts received on time.

+1. their consistency requirement is differentiated. most props secretly hope you blow up after they fund you (more eval fees). smartprop seems aligned with traders staying funded long-term. early data but vibes are good.

what exactly does 'consistency-focused' mean in practice? how do they measure it?

typical consistency rules: no single day's profit can exceed X% of total profit, minimum number of trading days required even after hitting target, max trade size limits relative to account. these prevent passing eval with one lucky home run. forces you to demonstrate repeatable edge over multiple sessions.

another prop firm with new rules promising to be different. by 2027 their rules will tighten when they realize too many people pass.

smartprop eval was actually fun 🔥 the constraint of needing consistency made it feel like real trading not a gambling sprint. passed second attempt after failing first because i was too aggressive. lesson learned

consistency rules cut both ways. they prevent gambling but also penalize legitimate strategies that have natural lumpy returns (event-driven, news-based). depends on your style whether smartprop or a standard prop fits better.
