    keep seeing ea automatic ads. the backtest looks insane obviously. but does ANYONE have a real live myfxbook running for more than a few months. backtest means nothing to me anymore

      ran it 4 months live on a small acc. first 2 months smooth small gains, then a trending move blew through its grid logic and gave back everything plus more in one week. its a grid/recovery bot under the hood, looks great until it doesnt. classic equity curve that goes up like stairs and down like an elevator

            grid = it opens more positions as price moves against it, averaging down, so it 'recovers' losers. works in ranges, dies in a strong trend cause it just keeps adding to a loser until margin call. the smooth backtest hides the one trend that wipes it

              lost 600 to a grid ea last year 😩 looked amazing for 6 weeks then gone in 2 days. never touching grid again
