tickmill or oanda for serious forex - spread quality opinion needed
-
looking to consolidate to 1 broker. currently split between 3 because i kept opening accounts every time someone in a thread said theyre 'the best'.
narrowed it to tickmill pro and oanda core. spreads quoted as roughly similar on majors. tickmill commission is higher per lot but their raw feed seems cleaner in my casual testing. oanda has zero commission but spreads widen more on news.
for someone trading mostly EU/asian session, which one will save me more long term?

tickmill pro hands down for london/asian sessions. oanda is built for retail trader convenience, their api is great for systematic but raw execution quality during ny open is bottom tier. tested over 18 months.

no. zero commission means the broker bakes their cut into a wider spread. its often more expensive than a tight spread + transparent commission, especially on majors. always compare total cost per trade not just commission.

tickmill pro. done.
