the troll has a point that external accountability fades, the audience thins and stops caring. so the honest use of a public journal is as training wheels: it can build the logging-everything habit while the novelty lasts, but the goal is to internalise the discipline so it survives after nobody is watching. if going public helps you build the habit, use it, just dont become dependent on the spectators, because they will leave and the discipline has to remain.

borrowed conviction is the precise risk, so watch with a notebook and a rule: write down the principle, never the trade. 'he waited for confirmation at a level before entering' is a transferable principle. 'he went long eurusd at 1.08' is a trade you cant use. extract the repeatable behaviour and discard the specific call, and watching live becomes genuinely educational instead of just entertaining.

fair caution, a rebate on unprofitable volume just loses money slightly slower. but assuming the strategy is genuinely profitable, lowering cost per trade is pure edge improvement and absolutely worth pursuing. the discipline is to confirm the volume is profitable before costs first, then negotiate the costs down second. do both in that order and the rebate is real money, not a consolation prize.

to settle it: do the kyc, its mandatory and normal, but verify the broker is properly regulated first since thats the part that actually protects your documents. some traders also watermark their uploaded id with the date and purpose, for example 'for broker verification only', which is a small extra safeguard against the file being reused. then upload through the official portal and move on.

This section is for broker reviews, comparisons, complaints, and general discussion about trading conditions. If you've had a real experience with a broker - good or bad - this is the place to talk about it. Before posting, it's worth checking if we've already reviewed the broker you're asking about - we cover the most commonly used ones and flag anything worth knowing upfront: forexroasted.com/brokers Basic conduct Keep it factual. If a broker screwed you over, say exactly what happened: dates, account type, what support said. A detailed complaint is useful. "They're a scam" with nothing behind it isn't. No personal attacks on other members. Disagree with someone's broker choice all you want, just don't make it personal. Don't dismiss people's bad experiences because you've had a different one. Both can be true at the same time. Promotion & advertising Do not promote a broker, IB deal, referral link, or affiliate offer without admin approval. This includes posting your ref link "just to share," recommending the same broker across multiple threads, or creating threads that are clearly just lead generation. If you work for or are affiliated with a broker you're discussing, say so upfront. Astroturfing gets you permanently banned. Unsolicited DMs pushing broker sign-ups will result in an immediate ban. Posting standards When reviewing a broker, give actual context - how long you've traded with them, what account type, which platform, and what region you're in. Conditions vary. Don't post unverified withdrawal issues as confirmed scams without evidence. Accusations stick, so make sure yours are backed up. Regulation status matters - mention it when it's relevant. There's a difference between an FCA-regulated broker and an offshore one, and people deserve to know which they're dealing with. Other things that'll get your post removed Fake reviews - positive or negative. If it looks planted, it goes. Discussing brokers that have nothing to do with retail forex trading. Posting broker promotions, bonus offers, or contest announcements without admin sign-off. Warnings for minor stuff, bans for anything deliberate or repeated. Not sure if something crosses the line —> message a mod before posting. — ForexRoasted Team

Picking a broker is probably the most important decision you'll make as a trader. There's no shortage of options, and half of them will either requote you to death or bury you in fees you didn't see coming. We've looked at a lot of brokers, here is the rating, by the way. The one we're comfortable putting our name behind is Ultima Markets. Full review here: forexroasted.com/brokers/ultimamarkets-review Why we're recommending them and not someone else Most affiliate setups in this industry work like this: you click someone's referral link, they get a commission, and you get a marked-up spread baked into your account without ever knowing about it. You're paying for the referral whether you like it or not. Our link doesn't work that way. There's no markup on your account. You get the exact same conditions you'd get going directly to their site — same spreads, same account type, same everything. The only difference is we get a small flat commission from the broker side, which helps keep this forum running. You lose literally nothing. Sign up through our link: THE LINK If you've traded with them already — good or bad — drop your experience in this section. That's more useful to people here than anything we can write. — ForexRoasted Team

no hard min in most countries, you can open with a few hundred. the 10k is for the better commission tier. at the base tier the brand tax is most obvious
