Our regular painted steel jack is already showing rust spots near the wheels after just a few months in a damp corner and I know it will fail inspection eventually. So I am looking at going stainless for the new unit and I keep reading about how and pallet truck stainless steel options are the standard for food and pharma environments. But the price is noticeably higher and I want to be sure it actually lasts long enough to justify it, not just a shiny upgrade. Also does stainless handle the chemicals we use for sanitation or can even that corrode over time if the grade is wrong. Would appreciate input from anyone running one in a washdown setting because this is a significant spend for us.
